Versatile and growth orientated, Nonku Ntshona is the Founder and CEO of NNAQS. An accomplished and registered quantity surveyor - developing high-impact business strategies, combined with exceptional knowledge and extensive industry with international experience, highlights her effortless ability to adapt to the needs of the business. This is evident in her leadership and significant success in a predominantly male industry. She is constantly focusing on new business growth opportunities, whilst keeping her attention on leadership, teamwork, and performance excellence at all times. Her heartbeat is to promote and advocate the role of women in business.
APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
Nonku was appointed as Chief Executive Officer and is the Chairperson and an executive member of the NNAQS Board of Directors. She is responsible for all aspects of providing leadership and direction to the Company Board, facilitate the operations and deliberations of the Board and the satisfaction of the Board’s functions and responsibilities under its mandate, and assume responsibility for the strategic initiatives.
EXPERIENCE
Nonku is a registered quantity surveyor and holds a Global Executive MBA from the IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain. She started her career at Rosseau Probert Elliot QS, joining Bham Tayob Khan Matunda and thereafter before moving to Turner & Townsend. Her excellent blend of operational experience and sound business acumen led her to start Nonku Ntshona & Associates Quantity Surveyors (Pty) Limited, now known as NNAQS in 2007. Nonku serves on numerous professional bodies and is affiliated to several organizations who highlights the need for continuous education and growth.

An astute individual, Mahomed has more than 25 years of experience working in prestigious multi-national companies in the Construction Consulting Sector. Over the years Mahomed has successfully provided support and helped strengthen strategic management in businesses. He has demonstrated the ability to streamline business operations that drive growth, increase efficiency and bottom-line profits, mostly in the key critical business success areas. Apart from managing people and the business, he also provided support and leadership on a number of projects which required attention at a senior management level.
APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
Mahomed was appointed as Managing Director and is an executive member of the NNAQS Board of Directors. He is responsible for providing strategic guidance and direction to the board to ensure that the Company achieves its financial vision, mission and long term goals.
EXPERIENCE
Mahomed is a registered quantity surveyor, member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors and holds a business management qualification. Starting his career at Turner & Townsend, he progressively moved to Director and Board Member for their African operations. In 2009 he was head-hunted by the consulting engineering firm PDNA as a Director to manage their team of multi-disciplinary engineers and later became a shareholder in the company.

With more than 35 years in the built environment, Heinrich’s unfaltering commitment, sound work ethics and consistent hard work paved the way for him to flourish. His level of project experience includes infrastructure developments; roll out projects in the health and fitness industry, private hospitals, schools and colleges, office developments, retail developments, housing developments, commercial mixed-use developments and expert witness.
APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
Heinrich was appointed as Operations Director and is an executive member of the NNAQS Board of Directors. He is responsible for all aspects of Quantity Surveying operations and quality management.
EXPERIENCE
Heinrich is a qualified quantity surveyor and started his career as student with Prima Construction in Pretoria. He then joined van der Walt, Hughes, De Beer and Schutte in Pretoria as student and later as quantity surveyor in training, after which he joined Botha, Shelver, Cotterell and Pierson in East London as quantity surveyor in training. After registration as quantity surveyor, he joined Taljaard Carter and Partners in Randburg and later moved to Raubenheimer and Partners Inc. After six months with the company, he became a shareholder and director. Ten years later he started his own practice under D&H Associates (Gauteng) for almost thirteen years. He then joined NNAQS in September 2010 as senior quantity surveyor and quality manager and later became responsible for operations management.
Alice Moeti

Alice is an Associate Director at NNAQS. Her key strengths are the ability to be both strategic and solve problems whilst maintaining a practical focus on delivery and outcomes. With more than 7 years of experience in the built environment, Alice heads up the retail, commercial and residential sectors as well as the overall business development portfolio within the QS division. Her level of experience includes retail
developments, health projects, higher education projects, housing developments, commercial and mixed-use developments.
APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD
Alice was appointed as Associate Director and is an executive member of the NNAQS Management team. She is responsible for all aspects of Quantity Surveying operations, quality management as well as the overall business development portfolio within the QS division.
EXPERIENCE
Alice is a registered Quantity Surveyor, having started her academic career at the University of Pretoria, she boasts a BSc Quantity Surveying degree as well as a BSc Quantity Surveying Honours degree. In addition, she is a member of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors, a student member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and has experience in quality management. She started her career with Nonku Ntshona and Associates Quantity Surveyors as a Junior Quantity Surveyor in 2015, she then progressed to work at SVR Quantity Surveyors & Project Managers (Pty) Ltd as well as GT Chaane Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers CC, she later rejoined Nonku Ntshona and Associates Quantity Surveyors in 2022 as an Associate Director and registered Quantity Surveyor.
