I have fallen in love with modern round houses. Here's why by Noluntu Nzwana

I have fallen in love with the modern round houses. Round buildings use less wall, floor and roof materials to enclose the same square meterage as a rectangular structure. 15 to 20% less material is used to create the same square metre building compared to a rectangular design.

This means the possibility for a smaller footprint and more living space for less cost. They can also withstand adverse weather conditions. The round houses provide clever space allocation and the powerful and natural movement of air and sound.

There is something that is harmonious and inviting about round houses.
