How has the looting and unrest in Kwa Zulu Natal and Gauteng affected you, what do you think we can do to help, and how can we rebuild after this?
Being a mother, I have been heavily affected by the looting & civil unrest in the country. Just for my daughter to go to school has been a challenge as the principle had to close school until further notice.
Buying basic commodities has also been a challenge as we are now experiencing bread shortages nationwide. It’s a situation we never thought the currently would be in but unfortunately criminal elements are at play and it is the worst time ever.
I think moving forward, we need to change our mindsets and realize that there can never be any justification for looting or thuggery. We have to stand in our respective communities and protect what is ours by working hand in hand with law enforcements.
It will take a while to rebuild but the only way from a fall is up, no matter how long it takes.
